St. Lambrecht Abbey

St. Lambrecht Abbey Church is now also the parish church. In it, the monks and the faithful of the parish of St. Lambrecht pray and celebrate. Local services and festival services are celebrated here in deep devotion and a very special atmosphere.

St. Lambrecht Benedictine Abbey has dominated both the appearance and the cultural and spiritual life of this beautiful town in the nature park for 900 years. A guided tour of the abbey provides a comprehensive insight into its history. This tour includes a visit to the Prelate's Hall, the Folklore Collection and the Bird Museum.

Seckau Benedictine Abbey

Seckau Abbey can look back on an eventful 850 years of history. Despite repeated destruction and being abolished twice, the abbey on Seckau Plateau always managed to rise again. It is now one of Styria's oldest and most valuable cultural treasures.

Seckau Benedictine Abbey offers guided tours on artistic and cultural themes:

History and mission of the abbey (exhibition) and ecclesiastical art past and present (including the Hapsburg mausoleum and Boeckl Chapel in the basilica). Duration: approx. 1 hour

The schnapps distillery also attracts a lot of attention: You can find out about how spirits and liqueurs are produced and taste the results on a 45 minute tour.

Guided tours are available from Monday to Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm by prior appointment.

After the guided tour of the abbey you visit the abbey shop or the surrounding culinary establishments.
