The Trautentalwirt - Gasthaus Rainer - is located directly at the entrance to the village of Geistthal in a wonderfully idyllic setting at the foot of the Gleinalpe. Romana and Hansi Rainer have been welcoming their guests with great warmth for over 30 years.
They have already been able to pass on their passion for the wonderful world of gastronomy to the younger generation - their two sons Johann and Martin and daughter-in-law Lisa - and together they ensure plenty of enjoyment, conviviality and moments of happiness at the Trautentalwirt. Anyone who is now curious can see for themselves from Friday to Monday. Not only the Trautentalwirt, but also the wonderful hilly landscape and the beautiful hiking trails invite you to explore the former climatic health resort - also known as "Klein Heiligenblut".
The family and the ingredients of the dishes are deeply rooted in the region around the village of Geistthal - regionality and sustainability are the guiding principles. Feel-good cuisine from the forest, meadows and water is the order of the day here - traditional inn classics that truly bring back childhood memories for guests as well as seasonal vegetarian delicacies and fine fish dishes from their own pond can be found on the menu - without chichi, with a great sense of good flavour.
