The area of the Hohe Veisch is considered a hiking and ski touring paradise. Countless hiking tours lead to the plateau of this mountain massif - here the most famous route from the Brunnalm via the serpentine path to the Graf Meran Haus and on to the summit of the Hohe Veitsch. ATTENTION. When planning and carrying out a ski or snowshoe tour, please always pay attention to the current avalanche situation report of the corresponding region.  
The starting point of the tour is the parking lot at the Brunnalm. Here you follow the mark 465 to the Graf Meran Haus and further on to the Hohe Veitsch. Return the same route.

S6 Semmering expressway - exit Mitterdorf. At the traffic circle, take the second exit in the direction of Veitsch. Follow the road to the end point at the parking lot on the Brunnalm.
We start our tour at the parking lot at the Brunnalm at the foot of the Hohe Veitsch. From here we hike past the valley station of the lift, cross the lift line to the forest road and follow this uphill to the fork. Here we branch off to the left, past the Scheikl Alpine Inn to the signpost Graf Meran Haus - Hohe Veitsch. Here we hike up the ski slope to the top station of the Sonnkogel lift and continue to follow the marking no. 465. The serpentines lead us directly to the Graf Meran Haus. Now we hike for about 30 minutes to the summit of the Hohe Veitsch.
The area of the Hohe Veitsch is a paradise for ski tourers in winter!
By train Arrival to Mitterdorf im Mürztal, then continue by bus. Information can be found at www.oebb.at and www.verbundlinie.at
