Medium-difficulty bike tour from Murau into the Rantental valley, via Freiberg and Hinterberg. Here you can also make a short detour to the Draunigl peak on foot.
The mountain bike promises very many natural scenery and a picturesque landscape panorama. Especially the path through the forest from Murau towards Ranten invites you to linger and enjoy. Start cycling and explore the Murau region - that's the motto!

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here in the direction of Murau. In Murau the WM-Halle is located after the second traffic circle on the left side.

Coming from Tamsweg drive via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) to Murau. After the double traffic circle the WM-Halle is on the right side.

From the starting point of the WM-Halle Murau, drive west to the first double traffic circle. There you take the first exit to the right in the direction of Ranten. Follow the Rantenradweg R 63 to the power plant. Turn left here, past the execution site (gallows) over the Kulmhammer. There you turn left again in the direction of Tratten, where you leave the Rantenradweg R63 to the right. Cross the Ranten bridge to the main road and turn right. After 100m you turn off in the direction of Freiberg. Here begins the moderate mountain stretch to the highest bike point (1,382m). At the crossroads Krakaublick turn left downhill.

After about 300m in the left-hand bend, the short footpath goes up to Draunigl on the right (walk about 10 min). The descent of the footpath follows the route already known from the ascent.

Afterwards the descent to Ratschfeld follows. Here you turn left at the main road. After about 300 m, turn right, cross the bridge to the R63 and follow it to Murau.

Stop at the place of execution (gallows) from the 13th century (High Court).
